One comment about La Canada High

The school has a strong curriculum for students whose focus is college after high school - families that are well-rounded and can afford additional tutoring, lessons, and the latest technologies have a big edge in succeeding.

All other students, especially in Special Education, suffer from a lack of teacher support, which results from a lack in administrative support. The good news for parents is that the school will provide students in Special Education whatever they want, as long as the parents insist upon it. This is a must for parents in this situation. The district simply will not take initiative to offer services that students may be in dire need of. I suspect it is because of budget issues that they are stingy about providing much-needed services. The more parents are involved with all the teachers and staff, the better their children will be serviced.
