Six comments about Daniel Webster Middle

I attended Daniel Webster shortly it opened between 1957-60. The school was dynamic, robust and students were expected to excel. The great majority of students went on to college due, in large part, to the excellent educational foundation they received at Webster. By viewing the poorly written comments above by students who currently attend, you can see what has happened to the school over the years. Sadly, it speaks volumes about what has happened to most of the schools in LA in the past 30 years.

The two comments above are interesting. Both students of the middle school are passionate in their defense of the school against the Los Angeles Times criteria. Yet both demonstrate very poor writing skills. As a parent looking at the prospect of having to send my kids to Daniel Webster, I cringe!

Daniel Webster Middle School is a great school, but only is you be with the good people and so far there hasn't been that much fights or anything else bad for that fact. It been seem bad on the outside from what people say but if you are in the shoes of a student it can be fun and very interesting. I am a student and my school years have been the best ever! Everyday been a great day and i will never forget my years at the school. We are all really, " Dedicated to Excellence and All of what we do!"

I am at a student a Webster Middle School and I think LA Time is wrong. Webster is something different from other schools in its own way. Instead of other schools who push and force their student to do their best; Webster encourage them too try and that gives them hope. You might have read the article and said what a terrible school.
But why judge it on someones judgment some who's just a journalist who wants to just wants a piece of news to break someone down. Journalist who are very close minded and judgmental. Only some students may be troubled but that gets taken care of other students including me we don't do thing like alcohol, drugs, and fight. Cathy you are just judging on the outside. Webster may have some problems but as the Webster students say; "We are dedicated too Excellence."

Webster is an up and coming school that provides a safe environment for all learners. It is unfortunate that anyone can be posted on the internet without the LA Times doing their due diligence and fact checking. I understand that it is public comment, but it degrades and does a horrendous diservice to the family of learners at the school. Come visit and see for yourself.
