JLMS was an awsome experince i was the first class to graduate from their. i peronnally think JLMS has problems like any other public school. Maybe we should stop singeling out JLMS and focus on the real problem wich is LAUSD.JLMS is a great school even though it has its flaus but no PUBLIC school is perfect. JLMS Silver Tooth SLC Class of 2008

How come most of the students commenting on this school cannot spell?

Looks like they don't even teach the basics at this school......

I think Liechty has the potential to be a great school. Best of luck to all the teachers and administrative officials who are trying their hardest. Most importantly good luck to all the students!

This school had a tough start, but the administration has had an overhaul with a new Principal and administration team (2010.) By removing an embedded uncooperative team and placing fresh administrators with no pre-existing affiliations, it stands a good chance of raising its scores.

The school is beautiful. It was $125 million, it should be. Someone told me the astroturf soccer pitch (football field) cost $50 MILLION dollars alone. Here's an inner city school with NO grass...nothing to make oxygen to counteract the polution these kids breathe every day.

Why don't the people who comment here learn to spell or even to spell check? It speaks volumes about the quality of education at this school.

The principal of this school is currently in violation of 1st ammendment laws providing peaceful freedom of speech to all citizens. you are a BAD ROLE MODEL for your students. How DARE you withhold a certificate of completion based on your personal disagreement with their RIGHT to practice freedom of speech. Congratulations on your lesson to the students on the abuse of power and abuse of discretion by authority figures!!

I heard that a seventh-grade teacher named Mr. Orlowski is one of the world's best teachers. He has four college degrees, ten years of business experience, and 15 years of teaching experience. Some of my friends' kids have him and he is the greatest!!!!!!!

i think all teachers are great and there is a teacher call Mr.chung he is a amazing teacher. And now they want to fire him just because he got his teaching cridention just a little bitt after other teachers. AND THATS NOT RIGHT.

      to sahah

this school is great..wonder why you removed your daughter.
teachers are awsome and the language soken is english.
the administrators are proffessionals and know what they are doing if you dont think its good enough.well you should put your kids in a private school

Terrible school, I suggest parents not to enroll your kids to this school, bad influence kids, bad administration I feel sorry for the kids attending this school, I have removed my daughter from this school. LAUSD should know what really happens inside the school grounds when children are alone with school personnel.
Note and questions to parents who children are enrolled at John Liechty Middle School:
      1. Do you what your kids are looking at during lunch time?
      2. Do you who is the teacher and what language is him/her using during school time?
      3. Do you what your kids witness at the time they are using school bathroom at John Liechty?
      4. Do you where the current administration workers come from? Or past experiences
      5. Ask your kids what are they really learning at John Liechty
      6. Parents, have a long and sincere chat with your kids and ask them what is really happening in this school grounds.
