Six comments about North Hollywood Senior High

The Highly Gifted Magnet rivals any school in any state, whether it be public, charter, or private. The students, simply stated, are smarter than those who burden other schools with their presence. In addition, their teachers are more motivated to push their students to higher and higher heights, despite the fact that class sizes are going through the roof, and funding is being cut. As an old acquaintance once said, it offers "a private school education at a public school price."

If your child is in the "Zoo Magnet" your good to go! If your child is in the "Honors" Program, there are a few, and I mean a very few teachers that CARE! Most are rude not only to the students but to the Parents too. The schools grounds and buildings are a dirty mess. What happened to all the Federal Money- and Bond Money for improvement go? How about for education? If you look at the ratio it more like 36:1-- I had to remove my son. The Principle and Asst Principle are great. It's the School Board that has their hands tied. Let's replace some Board Members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The magnets are amazing. Although set in a grungy atmosphere, the quality of learning available in the HGM and Zoo Magnet are unbelievable, especially for a public school.

That sounds about right; I attended this school a few years ago.

This school is horrible. Better off moving from the area.
