One comment about Rudecinda Sepulveda Dodson Middle

The school is great overall. My child is apart of the magnet school and we could definitely see how some classes were academically challenging. This was a good thing because our child learned a lot. I really appreciated how well the 6th grade teachers worked together. I do think some policies need to be revisited. Especially when those policiies hinder the success of the student. My childs test scores were advance in both english&math..however the grade received in both of these classes were mediocre- thus test scores did not match up with the grade. We had many issues with some of the magnet schools policies for incoming 6th grade students. I think they need to lighten up just a tad bit. In addition the magnet coordinator could work on her people skills. Overall, Dodson is a very good school in my eyes. By the way, Mr. Collier is a very good principal. It was never an issue getting a hold of him whenever I had concerns and he always assisted me with a solution! Thank you Mr. Collier- superb leadership qualities :0)
